Avant Gnar is a contemporary dicotomy between beauty and thrash.

With these images I intend to portray the moments which can't be explained by thoughts or words.

The beauty of inner state and outer environment in sync with each other is the essence of skating down mountain roads.

The way a chicane stacks on itself when viewed from above, the contours of a dipping apex in the dawn light, hairpins disappearing under one another from the top of the run.

To some, downhill skating and other extreme sports are far from beautiful. With these images I hope to change that.
